The Only Water Bottles I’d Ever Buy Again (That Actually Help Me Drink More)

Staying hydrated is one of those simple things that sounds easy in theory but is so hard to actually do every day. I used to think I was drinking enough water until I started 75 Hard in April and had to drink a gallon daily. That’s when I realized it’s not just about willpower… it’s about having the right tools it’s about having the right tools like the only water bottles I’d ever buy again (That actually help me drink more.)

If you’ve ever struggled with remembering to drink water, battling headaches, or feeling low energy, you’re not alone. And honestly, your water bottle might be the key to finally hitting your hydration goals. Whether you’re crushing workouts, juggling a busy life, or just trying to feel better every day.

I’ve tested a ton of bottles, from the trendy to the practical, and narrowed down the ones that truly work for me. In this post, I’m sharing the only water bottles I’d ever buy again! The ones that for real for real make drinking water easy, enjoyable, and even kinda fun. Plus, I’ll tell you which ones are perfect for the gym, on-the-go, small bags, and big hydration goals like 75 Hard.

Are You Actually Drinking Enough Water?

Most of us think we’re drinking enough water… but then we wonder why we’re tired, snacky, or have that annoying afternoon headache. (Yeah, that’s probably dehydration.) I didn’t realize how little I was drinking until I started 75 Hard and had to track every ounce. Spoiler alert: I was way off. I thought my iced cold brew counted for something… sadly it doesn’t.

How Much Water Should You Drink Per Day?

A good starting point is half your bodyweight in ounces. (P.S. I’m not a doctor) So if you weigh 160, aim for around 80 ounces a day. But if you’re working out, sweating a lot, or it’s hot AF outside, you’ll probably need more. During 75 Hard, the goal is a gallon a day, and that used to sound insane to me… until I had the right bottle and barely had to think about it.

Why the Right Water Bottle Makes a Difference

Not all water bottles are created equal!!! The right one can completely change how much you drink. A straw lid? Life changing. One that keeps water cold all day? Game over. It’s not just about aesthetics, it’s about ease. If your bottle’s annoying to carry, clean, or drink from, you’re way less likely to use it.

Lazy Girl Trick for Staying Hydrated

Want to drink more water without trying so hard? Get one really good bottle. For real. I keep a big one at my desk so I only need to refill once a day, and something about a straw lid just makes me sip mindlessly while I’m working. It’s such a lazy girl win and it actually works.

Best for the Gym

If you’re someone who needs a solid bottle that doesn’t leak all over your gym bag, Owala’s FreeSip is my go-to. It has a built-in straw and a wide-mouth option, so you can chug or sip depending on your workout. I used the 32 oz version during 75 Hard and it kept up with every sweaty session. Bonus: the 24 oz is perfect if you want something lighter (or cuter… that camo is everything).

There’s even a 14-oz version if your little one wants to match!

Best Straw Lid

If sipping through a straw makes you drink more water (same), the Stanley IceFlow is your girl. It’s leak-resistant, fits in a car cup holder, and actually keeps your water cold.

Best for On-the-Go or Hiking

Need something that can handle trails and Target runs? The Stanley IceFlow Fast Flow fits in a backpack perfectly, while the CamelBak Eddy is super lightweight with a bite-valve you can sip without tipping. I like having one of these when I’m walking or running errands and don’t want to lug a giant bottle.

Best Compact Bottle for Small Spaces

If your bag is always full (mine is a walking disaster), grab one of these slim, packable options. The Stanley Quick Flow GO and Stanley IceFlow Fast Flow are both insulated, leakproof, and easy to toss in your car or carry-on. Ideal for travel days or when you just can’t with a giant jug.

Best for Big Water Goals (75 Hard Approved)

I used this beast during 75 Hard and LET ME TELL YOU???? Life-changing. The 64 oz HydroJug Sport holds half a gallon, has a leakproof straw lid, and a rubber base that keeps it from sliding around. It’s bulky but oh so so worth it! No constant refills, no excuses. I know exactly when I need to finish the first fill up by, and reminded that I need to finish the second before bed!
